Re: Spotted today.

Smoke grey 2 door today, driving along the A27 in Worthing, heading westbound approx 9.30am.

Looked like an early 1000 to me, cant remember the plate, but it had the raised style letters

Re: Oil Leak Somewhere?

So, just to confirm. The oil is above the line of the spark plugs? And there is oil down both sides of the engine?

That to me points to the rocker cover gasket needing replacing. Very easy to do :D

Re: Are you a British GAS customer?

I'd read about this before actually but this post prompted me to check a friends gas meter as she's been complaining about the high bills for ages. Anyways, I opened the gas cupboard to be hit by a massive smell of gas. Turns out her meter has been leaking for about 10 months. The really scary bit i...

Re: Clutch Pedal not returning

Bronze bush and poly (not rubber) are in tip top condition, having only been fitted for about a fortnight. Where is the return spring located? Is it a gearbox cover off job, or is it accessable from underneath?

Clutch Pedal not returning

I've been having real problems with the clutch slipping - it transpires that this was due to the thrust bearing being in constant contact with the clutch mechanism. I've re-adjusted the clutch and the slippage is now a thing of the past BUT the clutch pedal is not springing back up to the top of its...

Re: How to post a photo

Just to add, if you need to resize a photo it can be done very easily in MS Paint (Load The image, click tools from the option above, then stretch / skew, and set stretch to say 50% - this will reduce the image to 50% of its original size) Make sure that you save the image before trying to upload ag...

Looks more like traffy blue to me... But then Im no expert on colours. (I am aware that teal blue goes with limeflower, but I thought it would be lighter - dont know why)

Re: 1971 Morris Traveller

Hi Josh.

Do you know if it was always that colour? Just thinking that it doesn't really go with the interior. Then again, with British Leyland and the very last cars - who knows!?

Re: unleaded petrol

fair play.. i've always been surprised how good my moggy does with fuel anyway. bristol to gatwick usually eats 15 pounds of normal unleaded.. which seems quite good when its four hours at sixty miles an hour on the a4 (can't bear to be on the motorway.. the engine drone is sleep inducing). how sho...

Re: Seat Bases

I have the same question, but for specific seats. I purchased a pair from a 1997 Rover 100, and they're to go into a 1968 2 door Minor 1000 This is for my daughter to learn to drive in, as the law states that for the driving test the car must have integral headrests. JL Minors do a sub-frame specif...
