right so my distributer cap is knackered, dead and kaput. i tried to change it but couldnt get two of the screws out (its a side entry screw in type) so i put the old one back on and continued to change the points and condensor (probally not the best idea) they went on fine and the gap was set. so i...

DVLA help

hi all,

after recently getting an insurance quote with footman james (£431 pounds for a 17 yr old, thanks MMOC :D ) they said that my engine was an 803 when actually its a 1098, my mum said that i should probally tell the DVLA. ummmm how do i do this?

its still running and running well! umm lets see, got a new light switch cos the old one decided to give up, polished the hubcaps and polishing the rest of the chrome when i get a chance, changed the rear windscreen seal, got a new carpet, working on some custom door cards and dealing with the rusty...

:D haha no they went in the bin but i spose i could have put them on ebay as a bodge carpet set as they fitted pretty well!

alright fair enough but my cars not that bad, not perfect but not bad.needs a bit of work. And it still has the fury orange headlining.

my moggy needs a new carpet and i have found a very cheap complete set but it is from a traveller and i have a 2 door series 2. im sure that at least some of the bits will fit, wont they?

you can ask the DVLA for the previous owners details, if you have a reasonable cause, but i think it costs money(£5 i think). if you get the owners details then you can go from there or im sure that if you apply for a V5 then they send a letter to the previous registered owner and if they dont get a...
