Has anyone done 2 speed wipers and wash without using a stalk style switch I.e a push pull or rotary in way of the old one?

Alas no way around the regulation.. any cars undergoing modification or increase in engine displacement have to be fully inspected by rta approved automotive engineers and the new laws are tough!

Yes but regardless of design the laws insist we have a collapsible steering column.. hence me NEEDING to put one in

Apparently in Australia we need them if we want to install any engine over 1.2/1.3 litres.

Hi Just wondering if anyone knew if you could get a collapsible steering column to fit the minor which would allow for an original steering wheel? In australia they use a mazda 323 or early ford laser steering column but you can't use the original wheel.. did the minor ever come with one or somethin...

will do! but im trying to work out if I can find a 16mm thick radiator that is a similar dimension to the moggie radiator in terms of width and height.. but want to know the depth so i can work out if i can put a 16mm radiator and 16mm condenser and still fit thermo fans between them and the slatted...

just wondering what the dimensions of the stock morris minor radiator were and number of cores etc. I'm mainly looking for the width height and depth?

I need a smaller alternative to handle a 1.2ltr engine on pretty hot days but with room to the side for a compresser for air con!

Also what type of grease is used under the metal caps at the end of each wheel? Sorry I don't know the technical name for them!

no no I would love to know HOW to do it.. i just don't understand what people are writing.... how do you knock the top of the tre with a hammer without damaging the thread that the nut needs to go on? OR is it that you put the TRE into the hole it goes in to.. THEN hit the metal top bit with a hamme...

but it feels spring loaded..
how would hitting the top push it down and surely that is counterintuative to it's function.. isn't it spring loaded and supposed to rotate?

sorry what do you mean "pull the two together" i just can't picture it.. the top of my tre has a grease nipple so i can't hit the top of it can i.. I just can't see what you mean about the screw driver... the tre is in the steering arm already I just can't get the nut tightened without the...

sorry i don't quite get what you mean "tap the track rod end onto the steering arm"

would a clamp work? i.e. clamp the top of the track rod end and the nut as tight as possible then turn the nut by a spanner and do the clamp up tighter?
