Re: Which disc brake kit?
Oh are they. Probably easier for you get the kit anyway. Probably easier to get ford pads and discs than marina ones. Especially in years to come.

Re: Which disc brake kit?
Iv got some ford calipers with disc and pads and hoses. They're about 12 months old but the cars was sat for most of this year. If you wanted to have a go at making your own kit. Theyre early ka ones which are the same as some fiestas. The calipers are reconditioned replacements. I don't know whats ...

Re: Embarrasingly stupid question about alternator
Id advise you to see how you get on with the dynamo. If you keep getting a flat battery then look into an alternator. Iv been using mine for lots of short journeys albeit in the summer and have never had to charge my battery. Mine will be staying as a dynamo. Unless i make serious modifications to t...

A happy bargain day.
Well iv had a day of bargains today. Last night bought a new old stock rear door handle for the traveller for £24 on ebay. Also on ebay i bought 4 nearly new Goodrich tyres for my trial car. Got them for a penny. Hes was happy to get rid of them when i picked them up this morning. Also went to the c...

Re: Spotted today.
Axbridge classic tour and show. Was 4 Travellers including mine. 3 smoke grey ones and a green one.
The 2 smoke grey ones had been rebuilt by The Morris minor centre and someone else restored the green one. So it was nice driving mine i had rebuilt myself.

Re: Least favourite car
Renault kango. Was always going wrong. Was well maintained. My father bought it when it was 2 years old and gave it to me for work years later. Once the warranty ran out it was going wrong all the time. Got fed up with it. Had to walk 6 miles home one day. When the clutch went at 90k i sold it to a ...

Re: Morris Traveller Restoration Newbie
As above. When i started mine i fixed the rear arches, boot floor and rear chassis legs first. Then i moved onto the sills and the panels surrounding them a side at a time. I braced across the door pillars. You can also do the pillars at the same time. I repaired the floors and fitted a new crossmem...

Re: New MOT exemption
Well this got the keyboards working. Its fair enough not making old cars go through a modern mot but i think they should have some sort of test just checking the basics on things we could miss or put off for to long. Some people will be buying old cars now cause they are exempt and risking it. With ...

New MOT exemption
I haven't read it fully but looks like most of us will be exempt from MOTs soon. Not good news really!

Re: Repair panels recommended suppliers
ESM i got all my repair panels from them. Well apart from my spring hangers as i wanted them on small panels not the complete repair panels or on there own. Iv found the panels to be excellent quality. The service from them is excellent. Any problems and they sort it out straight away.

Re: Steves Morris Traveller 1970
Iv done about 500miles now. Probably just over. Iv just given it another oil change as it got quite dirty quickly. Think it will be ok now tho. It was for peace of mind really but it was nice to flush it through. Iv also adjusted the brakes now theyve bedded in more. I whipped the drums off aswell a...
