If that happens at least there is the option to turn off the ignition on most moggies without locking up the steering.biomed32uk wrote: ↑Tue Aug 21, 2018 2:14 pm Your throttle return spring is also looking tired, if that breaks the results can be a little more hair raising !, may be worth swapping that out as well.

Re: Finally got a car! TMK807F
Thanks for the replies. After seeing some very poor cars for good money, I have bought from Charles Wares. Had the car up in the air at a friend's garage today and am very pleased. Lots of new parts on suspension, steering and brakes. New exhaust and tyres. Yes you pay a price, but for someone like...

Re: Wing Mirror Position
It is up to the OP whether they fit the mirror or not but in my experience making a hole anywhere along the top of the Minor front wing is a bad move. The main problem with fitting a mirror to the top of a front wing of a Morris Minor is that it is right above the wheel and gets bombarded with thro...

Quite possibly. But hard to get an authoritative answer. Somebody somewhere must know.firedrake1942 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 08, 2018 9:39 pm Mine is 1957 and riveted. Did the change not happen when the oil filler cap changed from metal to plastic ?

Rocker cover labels - rivet or stick?
Anyone know the history of stick-on versus pop-rivitted rocker cover labels?
Years and models?

Possibly editing is for a limited time, or until there is a reply. It’s common on some forums to prevent people trolling by changing the meaning of their original post.

Re: Buttons disappearing.....
By the way, the buttons seem to have vanished from Private Messages. They're still there Brian, just shrunk in the wash so you can't read them. :D If you hover over them with a mouse, it you''re on a computer rather than a 'device' then the function is displayed. I suppose to be accurate I should h...

Re: Indicator
Well in the early days of motoring, manufacturers were not even consistent about pedal positions.
The model T has three pedals, but the one on the right is the brake, the middle one selects reverse and the one on the left is a clutch and gear shift.
We don’t have it too bad these days

Re: What are the Steps of painting .
Hi Sandun.
You might want to think about painting the whole wing. If you paint just the sanded bit, it’s going to show, unless you get a perfect colour and texture match.
Are you using a paint gun or rattle cans? There are a lot of videos on YouTube showing the best way to use each.
