Kevin's correct - I mentioned in another thread that I had traced a leak to the left hand wiper embellisher/body joint leaking on my Traveller. Wrecked my radio/c.d yeah I think it may have been on my post about water leaks  :D But can't remember because there are so many posts about water lea...

ah- the Haynes manual implied I was meant to push it away from the windscreen. Looking at the wiperblades area it looks as though there are no rubbers to stop water getting in, probably explains wet parcel shelves etc :D Luckily the only reason im trying to remove the wipers is to fit new rubbers an...

Please can someone tell me how to take off the wipers, and a good way to lift up the clip (i tried with a small s...

But by computers I mainly meant playing game...

This is just a wild guess. Maybe it's like model railway engines, You're meant to leave them running on for a few hours. Maybe if you did that the heater would smell less as it got used to being used.

I agree with Elaine, please take your car apart so you can give a total indepth report on every little detail of minor maintenance :D You should put that up in the Technical Tips section. I know i'll be trying it when the rain stops.

surely it can't be as the speed cameras need to detect the plate and also it has to be easily read. Or do you mean they have plates and the number painted on the bonnet?

It could be moggy as in the cat. There are some similarities between a minor and a cat. When it's in a good mood it purrs. In a bad mood or ill it yowls. You think of it as a pet, you've admitted already many pat their cars in the morning- that's almost stroking it ! And if it's about to break down ...

Our saloon also originally (or when we bought it) had a white parcel shelf, but the leaks from the old windscreen rubber made short work of it :( so later when we took it to a garage to get some welding etc done they decided it looked tatty and chucked it out and we had to ask them to give us one bac...

Peetee, surely the rear carpets would also get wet though? It may be worth chucking a bucket of water to make sure there are no leaks! That won't be needed- we have Scottish weather here ;) I should have mentioned that we did replace the rear windscreen rubber, but no sealant etc was used as they fi...

A bright new start to the day, and how did it start? Wet seatbelts (as always), puddles on the parcel shelf and soaking wet carpets :x The only thing I can think of is the wiper rubbers, we've only just redone everything else  i'm getting a little disheartened :( And the old boot lid rubber fel...

Some Misc. Questions.

1) What would you suggest is the best mastic/sealant for a boot lid rubber? (not sure whethere you would use sealant or mastic) 2) How can you remove the heater, to open it up to see if foam is perished and possibly replace foam? 3) How can you replace the oval rubbers from the windscreen wipers? Do...
