Re: 3D printed suspension parts
This is what it could look like. I drew it in two halves as it is easier to print. I have to find the correct glue for TPE. The pins are only to centre the two halves for gluing. They alone would not withstand the pressure of a grease gun. Maybe cable ties would be another option. I should have it b...

Re: 3D printed suspension parts
Kevin,
That is a very good question. I can have Moggy shackle bushes printed. Does anybody want to test them? I would provide them free of cost.

3D printed suspension parts
Just as an experiment I got the 3D printing service that I use to print off a kingpin dust cap and a shackle bush. The material is flexible TPE and is 72° shore A. Obviously the surface is not as smooth as my rubber dust caps but they fit so well that they don't want to come off again. The shackle b...

Re: Front Trunnion Horizontal Pin End Play
Phil,
Do you have a source of just the Marina pins?
I have the same knock and have been chasing it for a long time to no avail. Exactly as mentioned above. I am really grateful for this thread.

Re: Traveller Aluminium Panels
If you can make an accurate CAD drawing you can have them laser cut-not that expensive at all. If you need help creating a CAD drawing give me a shout. I do it everyday of the week.

With my rose jointed clutch linkage it would probably be easier to fit.

Re: Advice on Alternative Seats
Here are some pics. No welding is required or any further modifications except to drill the 4 holes in the floor to secure the rear of the seats. The front mount uses the original minor floor bolts. These photos are of the first prototype. Minor improvements were introduced for the final version. Ph...

Re: Advice on Alternative Seats
My mate has made very sturdy bases, laser cut to fit the early Ford Ka seats. He has them in his traveller and I must say they are really nice. He intends to make a bolt on kit if anyone is interested. I will see if I can get some photos.

Re: backplate drawing
Excellent project-something I often thought of doing. Laser scanning would be the easiest and probably the best way of doing it. If you need any help with the drawing I can offer assistance as I have worked with CAD systems all my working life and still use it daily. Laser cutting is quite cheap now...

Re: Rebuilt 1275-running a bit "out of sorts"
Phil,
I had the same problem with the ESM cap. The seal is too hard and too thick so I made my own seal from 2mm silicone impregnated cork.
Then it fits.

Oliver,
The standard temperature sender for Smiths instruments is GTR 101 or Intermotor part no. 5271. It has a 5/8" UNF thread. The resistance is 800ohms @20°c and 50ohms @90°C.

Neil,
If the diff is not noisy I would leave it.
BTW the blue marking compound looks to be good stuff. It shows the pattern very clearly. I think I will try it.

Gary,
The thread on the filler plug is 5/16" x 26 BSB. A copper crush washer 8mmID will fit. I have used fibre washers 8x14x1.5mm without any issues. I fitted reservoirs on my front dampers for inspection and filling purposes.
