I fitted a midget fan to my 1275 engine last week I have a 4 mm spacer behind the fan to clear the oil scrubber but had to take off a small portion of the fan blade to clear the top of the rad all seems to work ok off to holland in it next week

Speedo bezel

Hi I am in the process of stripping the dash in my 59 two door with gold faced speedo the slip bezel around the speedo is painted and looks like it could have been painted from new. Is this correct or should it be chrome

Front brakes

Hi I am refurbish my front brakes they are currently seven inch it looks like it's a straight swap to put eight inch ones from a later car is this ok are there any snags ? Thanks

Painting the horn

Hi. I have a 59 two door and doing a full restoration , I realise the horn cover bowel is painted black but what about the alloy trumpet part is that painted or left in the raw alloy state . Thanks

Hi yes rear view for the van is a problem if anyone Has a rear view camera fitted to there van I would like to hear there views.no pun intended. A friend of mine has one on his motorhome and it works really well.

Fuel gauge

Hi. My fuel gauge has stopped working , I have fitted a new float sender unit in the tank , earthed out the feed to the sender unit and the gauge doesn't move, . Does that mean it is either the gauge or the voltage stabiliser , how is this tested. Thanks

Hi islipminor. Yes I will be fitting the rear brakes after the servo so back and front are after the servo , I have a 1275 engine and have fitted marina disc brakes the m/c is I am pretty sure 7/8 inch. , I have also fitted the remote filler

Brake servo

Hi I am considering fitting a servo on my recently restored van . I have fitted marina disc brakes and remote filler but the pedal needs a considerable amount of pressure to get the.wheels to lock. Has anybody got any feedback on the power tune lockheed type units priced at £76-50

What a crying shame all those good cars going to be scrapped , I am restoring a minor at present which llooks to be in a worse state than the minors in the video.
