Spare wheel

Having enjoyed nearly twelve months as a new Morris Minor owner, I thought it was time to fit the spare wheel in the carrier rather than in the boot itself. I've realised the spare won't fit in the aperture (1967 saloon) due to the tyre being too wide. Is this because it is a radial tyre? Also, it a...

Re: Some photos of Charlie - 1965 2dr Saloon

Like you say, the car is in pretty good shape and I agree with Mike about the period shot and like the "retouched" pictures he's created. How about some period number plates, the reflective ones don't quite look right, do they?

I thought it was weird the cavalier attitude of pedestrians crossing the busy road. Obviously road safety was in its infancy back then.

People who park right next to me when I leave the car as far away as I can in an isolated car park. I want to be alone!

Door Mirrors

Has anyone else bought one (or even two) of these and found the window will not wind up as it fouls the glass? Am I choosing the wrong location to fit the clamp? Unfortunately I bought mine several months ago and have only just got round to fitting (or attempting to fit) it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/it...

Re: Message Board Symbols

What I like about the MMOC is that somebody will ask questions I didn't want to ask myself in case the answer is obvious. Now I WILL ask. It is clear what a Newbie is, but how do you progress to Minor Friendly, etc?

Bumper blades

Hi, I am hoping to get the bodywork on my 1967 four door smartened up and one of the jobs the guy is doing is cleaning up and re-painting the bumper valances. I am toying with the idea of new bumper blades and over-riders from either Bullmotif or ESM; however, the restorer thinks they could be a poo...

Re: Battery Charging

It doesn't actually need charging, bmcecosse but I would like to get the correct information in place BEFORE I am caught short. At the moment, it is only an occasional weekend car. Many thanks for your reply and to all the other very useful MMOC members' replies to my query.

Battery Charging

May be obvious to seasoned Morris Minor owners, but can I charge the battery without removing the battery from the car and without disconnecting the leads? I used to do this years ago, but obviously with modern cars it is a big fat no; can the Minor take it?

Don't burst my bubble

As an Englishman first and a Briton second, a thought occurred to me the other day; the Morris Minor, a car I only acquired in July 2013 is the first (true) English car I have owned since passing my test at the tender age of seventeen. Alongside my series 3 BMW (German built) the Minor sits with pri...

Re: Quarter Light.

Thanks to all who responded to my original post. I'm pleased to report the new (secondhand) Quarter Lights are now on the car (many thanks Bryan) and like Larryb I had alignment problems. However, a bit of "brute force" and a few swear words brought results!

Service Checklist.

Does anyone know of a Service Checklist anywhere on the web for the MM? Thought I could print one off for every service and use it for my records. Thanks.
