Got mine from Bull Motif around five years ago. Had no problems.

Re: BMW or Mercedes?

Thanks for this ManyMinors. My current car is just shy of 100.000 miles (having bought it six years ago with 46.000) and I realise towing can put a strain on components such as the clutch. I've spent a pretty penny on it and I feel I don't want to spend any more hence my reason for a newer car with ...

Re: New tyres and steering rack oil

I had these tyres fitted all round last year and like you, I couldn't believe the difference they made. I had 155s previously so not only is the ride better, the car looks better too!

BMW or Mercedes?

Hello, I have decided to replace my nine year old BMW series 3 and am undecided. As I tow a caravan I need a 2 litre engine and am tempted with another series 3 as my current one is excellent. However, the "C" class Mercedes has turned my head and I've had a favourable test drive in one. M...

Does everyone have to declare the new MOT status?

Re: Slow wipers.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Will compare at the next car event I have marked on the calendar. They are the standard single speed wipers and the fact nobody's mentioned them before makes me think all's well. I'd never given it a thought until this remark yesterday.
Thank you again.

Slow wipers.

Someone remarked today that the wipers seemed "slow" on my 1967 four door saloon. To be honest, I'd never thought about just accepting it is a "period" thing from a bygone era. To be fair, the chap who made the comment isn't into classics but it did make me think. What do other m...

Re: cover

I only use it occasionally as have a garage. I have to negotiate a fridge and freezer and have a tight driveway, so have my wife on hand to assist. On the occasions she is not available (I don't trust anyone else!) the Aldi cover fits very snuggly with the elasticated fittings under the bumpers. I s...

Re: super unleaded fuel = happy morris

I'll second that, Martin418. I use BP Ultimate in my everyday car and grabbed the wrong pump whilst filling the Morris. Now I find I have considerably improved response with the loud pedal!

Re: What was your first car?

Back to the plot. My first set of wheels as a seventeen year old was a Renault ten 1100, the one with the engine in the back. I had to keep a bag of sand in the boot (front) as it was so light making handling "interesting". It died the night I drove ten miles or so on a fast dual carriagew...

Hi, thanks for the reply to my post "Hazard lights". The kit you highlighted looks exactly what I need and shall be placing an order in due course. Thank you for the kind offer of help; I may well need to pick your brains if I struggle! Safe Minoring!

Hazard lights.

I remember my earlier motoring days Hazard Lights could be purchased, usually in kit form and fitted to any car complete with wiring, switch and mounting panel to give Four Way Flashers in the event of an emergency. I have looked at the usual suppliers online and am unable to source such kits. Are t...

Re: BBC pay list

What amuses me is the fact that reports say (for example) Gary Lineker "earns" £XXX amount. He doesn't "earn" it, he "gets" this money courtesy of us mugs.
