So why am I updating this thread now? Well, Sidney rolled off the production line on 30th May 1961, 50...

Re: Minor Matters Article

Chassis number for a 2-door saloon would be MA2S as MAS was for 4-doors and as far as I know only one of them has been made into a convertible!

Re: National Rally 2011

I think andy (sidney'61) might be rather too good at that competition.. 'Fraid so, though if you look at my car you'll find almost nothing original  Actually Stevey will probably be better than me, we've been quizzing each other on who knows the most useless facts about minors. Aren't we sad :D

Re: Horn blowing a fuse

Well I though I might aswell try and see if it worked! It's not blowing the fuses now and it seems to me to be just a dodgy connecton to the fusebox.

Re: Horn blowing a fuse

After shorting out the fuse box and pressing the horn it worked fine, then connecting it together again, fine, shut the bonnet and it stopped working! It's working again now but we'll see how long for.

Re: Horn blowing a fuse

I've tested the horn direct to the battery and it seems to be working fine so there must be a problem in the circuit somewhere. After a bit of adjustment the handbrake seems to be working fine. :D

This is on Emily, I'll have another look today. I had a problem with it a few months ago, David McCullough got it working again so I'll have to see if it's the same problem!

Re: A New Young Morris Owner seeking advice...

I've only just noticed this topic.. oops! Hats really are a must when diriving, I've never been seen driving without one. I don't suppose it matters what kind you wear as we all like to be different and original, I normally go for the scarecrow/fisherman hat seen above though recently I've been more...

Horn blowing a fuse

Since changing my car steering wheel (back to the standard three-spoke) I can't get the horn to work, everytime I try it blows the fuse, how do I resolve this?

Thanks

Re: Why doesn't my 1963 car have an A reg?

ah seems i was wrong then..... would i atleast be right in sayign that ssk was reserved for age related plates, therefore all ssk's are an age plate rather than original registration? All SK's will be age related plates (apart from ASK) as are all SJ and SL, also ones starting in UX are quite commo...

This made me chuckle!

I've just spotted this on ebay, it's a badge for that very rare model that was the minor 100! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Morris-Minor-100- ... 3a6263a659

I have a couple of them in my garage too!

Re: Hello!

Hi and welcome! Yukon grey '61 2-doors are the best (though maybe I'm slightly biased!) mine was built on 30th May so ours will not be far apart at all. Please post some photos of your car as we all like photos :D

Good luck with getting it MoT'd.
