Steering Rack Grease?
Hi just replacing my rubber gaitors and thought I should be re-greasing the rack while I'm in the area.. I read that the grease nipple for the rack is under the passenger side carpet.. just wondering what type of grease I should be using in my grease gun?
Is any oil required?
Thanks,
Tom

Unscrewing tie rod end!!
I've used a tie rod end splitter and separated it but now try as hard as I can I can't unscrew it from the rack.. I've tried a big adjustable spanner on the rod end with a smaller in the groove in the rack and tried heat.. Just wondering what else I could try??

Poly Bushes vs Rubber Bushes
Perhaps one of the better articles I have read on the subject! And have been doing alot of reading lately as I've had 2 sets of poly bushes fail prematurely in the upper trunnion due to lack of lubrication.. I think the cons outweigh the pros for daily driving and I'll be going back to rubber: http:...

Just the bushes I bought from esm I fitted them and then wound up the top but where the lock washer was and then backed it off slightly and then greased the trunnion at the nipple..
