Re: Please Help.

Hi Charlotte, Good idea to post here and I hope your partner gets the car going again soon. I'm assuming you'll have thought of ESM? Not sure if they are open on a Saturday afternoon but they will be there on Monday morning, if things are still looking desperate. It's definitely the fuel pump, is it...

Re: Don't bite the hand that feeds you!

It's THEIR Forum, respect them for what they do for US! But it's not the Mods forum, it's ours I think what Maurice meant was that you seem to overlook that we are club members as well just the same as yourselves. I'm not sure that was how his comment came over, though, if that was how it was meant...

Re: Advice..

Hi stubbornfairy and welcome to the forum :D and back to the noisy but characterful world of classic motoring 8) My only piece of advice, since you ask for it - and I spring with great alacrity to offer it - is generated by this part of your post: I'm really banking on the fact that it was Charles W...

Good for you, Matt! :D It's great to hear that Rosie sounds encouraging about the idea.

I'm scratching my head over what this has to do with Footman James.

Re: younger members thread.

Well, I'm not a district nurse... but I'm a nurse. And I'd be seen very much alive in your minor - it's gorgeous. Cheers! :D It's a bit of a head-turner, and one of the things I particularly like about it is that it seems to have a special appeal for young people. I enjoy driving it along the stree...

Re: younger members thread.

Thanks Wibble, so the above poster was saying the Minor is dull??? Ha ha ha I doubt it, why would he have one and be keen to make ownership of them attractive to a wider audience? Nah I was saying that to me personally the film has always looked a bit dull, as an explanation for why I couldn't tell...

Re: younger members thread.

What is "Miss Daisy"????? :P It's a film, "Driving Miss Daisy", which looks a bit dull so I've never seen it  Daisy is also the name of our ancient Army Lightweight Landrover, an eBay find which saved our bacon during last winter when the steep snowy lanes round here were ...

mcoles what an absolutely terrific post, that was a breath of fresh air. It's great to hear about the way that people responded to your stand at the National. I'm a billion years old but am all for people sharing the daft addiction which is Morris Minor ownership. Theclub has been doing it in a cert...

Hi Jess, Weird marks, eh. Hope they come out okay with polishing. I'm sure you know that T-Cut works by abrading the paint - in other words it removes a thin layer of the paint (a very thin layer) - and revealing the nice clean paint underneath. A bit like exfoliating the skin on your face. Except o...

I recently did a full resto of my van, which had been restored at Charles Ware's a few years before. I was quite surprised at what I found, and would be happy to share my observations (off the forum, to avoid transgressing against the rule about saying negative things about traders). 8)
