Well, it was a faulty spark plug. Purring again now (and so is the engine :wink: ) :D

Thanks Ray :D How would I tell whether I had the LCV engine in, or just the standard 1098? I think the engine number will start with something like 10M/U/L (low) vs 10M/U/H (high). Cheers for that :) Not to mention the gradually failing oil pressure... :D Seems to have stabilised at the moment *tou...

Dear god. :o I have an LCV tank in rather better nick, if you fancy taking it on. Needs a bit of restoration but nothing too serious. shout if you want it (we have to get rid of a lot of stuff by the end of this weekend... :roll: :)
