Hi Keith

That plate is interesting............but it confirms the work was carried out after the car was new? this is dated as 1976?

See what we can find out on that, any other plates?

Cheers lads as far as I can see it is only the coil that you need to change, which is nice as I purchased this very cheaply (brand new) So it wil have electronic ignition for £10!!

Any other information always welcome

65 DM4 Distributor

Hello

I am fitting one of these later type distributors to a Midget 1275 to go into my pick-up, has anyone used these? If so an problems or mods needed?

Not sure how the MMOC pick exhibtors..................we have a stand for 4 LCVs on the Minor LCV Reg, so by compairisions to the MMOC ours is small.

E-mail someone...............I am sure they will tell you how they chose or advertised?

OK lads............Again I am talking about LCVs only!! the 2 indents either side of the pressings NMP (Nuffield Metal Products) contain numbers I must stress I am talking about LCVs, the left indent is the body number (as on that plate on the bulkhead and the chassis number appears on the right one...

Problem is there was not a cut off date when te change took place! Some did leave without the flash some GPO vans were suplied this way so it is almost impossible to tell

Just to add my views, model paints and a careful hand are best Juilet, lastly not all LCVs were supplied with the chrome bonnet flash!!

Cam I know where you are coming from but as I said I have spent years number crunching these 'body numbers' on LCVs as it was indicated to us they meant nothing! All that means is that there are no archives or records (to hand) that you can cross-reference too, but any serial number will always mean...
