Why don't you print labels, which can be fed through the laser, then stick them to the envelopes?
Just an idea.

Re: Spotted today.
Was followed from Shrewsbury to Ellesmere by a nice grey, probably Clarendon, saloon. It was an early 1000, clap hand wipers and small sidelights. Kept up with the Spitfire nicely, even around the tight corners. I waved when I saw it then realised that after 4 days of driving the traveler around Sco...

Re: Tappit Clatter....
Thanks for everything, setting them to 7Thou this morning, when very cold, removed the clatter. Interestingly when warmed up the gaps are 10Thou, as recommended for that engine.... The timing has been set using a strobe and the engine runs very well normally just with an annoying clatter. Just didn'...

Re: Tappit Clatter....
What I mean is the starter was very lumpy and didn't want to turn the engine over, like the whole thing was preasureised an no valves were opening. I have mentioned that this is for the Spitfire, just tapping the 'general engine' knowledge on this forum as it greatly out strips any other I know of, ...

Re: Tappit Clatter....
Thanks for all the comments, I've been buzy fitting new suspention to the Spit so have lived with the clatter but now have an update... As I'd never used the 'bit of timber' technique, although I've seen my Dad use it on more that one occation, I went for the 'slightly larger, slightly smaller gap' ...

not overly the correct place for this as the car in question is my Spitfire but I need to tap into the wealth of knowledge regarding general engines that resides on this forum... So here we go..... I have a tappit clatter, it's not there for the first 20 or so seconds but once it starts it doesn't g...

That's a shame if the valuation was more realistic I may have been swayed to add another F reg PUD to the fold. Looks like this one was registered about 300 cars after mine......

Re: pale ivory car colour from 1958?
Hi, The paint I used was mixed at a UK Unipart parts garage and the colour code is YL1. As Unipart hold the codes for most cars they just mixed it up for me, it's a celilose base that can be brushed on when thinned out correctly. Not sure where I'd go now, as that was 7 years ago, but it does need a...

Re: Internet speed
Glad all is well again. Just a foot note, the guys who make CClean also do a disc de-fragmenter and a file recovery tool, both of which are great and free for home use.

Hi Neil, The 1500 and 1300 Triumph engines are pratically identicle in physical size, a little like the good old A series, so either will fit with a bit of jiggery pokery.. What you'll end up with is something looking like the car in this article, http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3239...

Re: Flushing the fuel system
I was refering to the pipe between the tank and pump and not the pick up pipe within the tank. I found a swill arround was enough to remove any build up within the tank. I've also heard that swilling it around with red-oxide mixed with petrol coats the inside of the tank to prevent rusting. Mine was...

Re: Chassis leg replacement
Mine went fine, using the half leg shown which had already had the re-enforcement piece in it and the tipping frame. I removed my engine to reduce the stresses on the leg to be removed but did have the gearbox still attached. I did replace the passenger side half leg, which is easier than the driver...
