I always worry about earliest and latest claims because I know if I bought such a car an older or newer one would turn up within about a week making mine just another car.

Re: I just do not believe some people!

Hang on, you paid DOUBLE the required fee to use a space and the council said if you did it again the fine would stay? After 30 years in local government I'm sad to say in many areas a council are no longer there to help the community but to punish people where by doing so income generation has bee...

Re: Expensive Traveller at Aston Workshop.

A car for somebody with the money and not prepared to wait for a fresh restoration at £24-£26k from one of the big restoration people?

I seem to remember a trafalgar blue traveller selling for around £23k at brightwells auction a few months back.

Re: I just do not believe some people!

Is it my imagination,or are Audi drivers outdoing BMW owners in the 'inconsiderate driver ' competition? I don't think it's your imagination, on the motorway if your in the near side lane on the approach to an exit or in the third lane overtaking traffic the default position for an Audi driver seem...

Re: I just do not believe some people!

On Thursday I took my wife's car for its first service at the main dealer, my appointment was 10.30 am. I arrived at 10.15 am. they knew I was going to wait for the car as it was supposed to take under an hour. After two hours I asked how much longer it was going to take, half an hour later I was to...

Re: Rover 3.5 V8 Engine Required.

Well, after a long search it looks like I'm finally sorted with a replacement engine which is currently being fitted at a Rover P5 owners club recommend repairer only 269 miles from me :o What this has made me more aware of is the good supply of parts and number of specialist around for our minors. ...

Re: Rover 3.5 V8 Engine Required.

Looking at options hopefully an sd1 or range rover engine with the later oil seals and heads Had a camera down No.6 and the top of piston is missing , if I'm very lucky I may get away with a piston but I think that's unlikely and I expect a rebuild is likely to be a lot more expensive than an engine.

I arrived into the work car park the other day to see a colleagues Merc boot open. When mentioned to him, after a few choice words he said it kept opening from the remote in his pocket when he moved about! Also said it had opened one night it rained and soaked everything inside  Not just Merc'...

Sounds electrical to me, as said condenser first then points and dare I say it coil particularly if it looks llike it has been replaced in the last couple of years as there are a lot of poor quality new coils out there.
