I bought a spare car for parts as it was totally rotten, was given another old boot lid, one was pretty rotten around the lip at the bottom, and the other was totally rotten all the way round. Since they were both scrap anyway, i decided to make a flush boot lid by cutting out the raised numberplate...

how to rig up a boot release cable?
Hi all, i want to remove the boot handle on my morris minor and rig up some sort of internal release cable. Has anyone done this before, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

re-making door cards
hi all, has anyone re-made their door cards? mine look like they have been removed a few times and sit out around the edge. I was going to remove the material, cut new plywood and the vinyl back on (more to it than this I know). has anyone attemped this, any hints and tips would be greatly appreciat...

there were three small splits about 10mm long on the front lip of the bonnet, my mate ground them out and filled them with weld so they wouldn't spread.[frame][/frame][frame][/frame]

hi, maybe its underseal, the floors have been coated inside and out, i'll have a go with the heat gun and scrapper, thanks for the reply.

how to remove waxoil?
hi all, i am about to replace the floor pans in my car. the floor looks like it has been coated with waxoil to the point where you can't see the joints. whats the best way of removing this? cheers

thanks for the replies, got the splits welded and ground down. The next question is if i use filler on the front edge of the bonnet, will it not crack with the force of closing the bonnet? there is a nasty dent as well which i hammered out the best i could.

thanks for the replies, removed the lower rear side panel today and looks like a whole lot of rot behind it, basically everything is rotten from wheel to wheel on the passenger side, have ordered boxing panel, lower rear side panel, rear floor panel and outer under sill repair panel, B post is prett...

what panel needs replacing?
Hi all, i removed the passenger kick panel and found some serious rot underneath. The boxing panel and kick panel need replacing and the part of the floor outside the boxing panel, anyone know what its called? thanks

I haven't done any work in that area, and the hinges are tight to the a pillar, the bodywork around the a pillar looks original as is the door so it should fit???

hi all, the door closes but is very tight at the handle side, the wing lines up with the rain gutter exactly as the passenger side. unless both wings need moved back. if anyone has a picture of the door/wing gap and door/rear panel gap so i can see what size the gaps are meant to be. poorly fitting door, advice needed!
Hi all, the drivers side door on my 1965 2 door is a very poor fit. There is a good half inch between it and the wing. There isn't much play in the hinges and the A pillar is solid, the gap is there even when the door is closed. has anyone any ideas what the problem is? thanks

Which panels are the holes for the cables on? ie. in the floor pans, transmission tunels etc. I will be cutting the old floor pans out and fitting new half panels from ESM soon. cheers
