Re: Look before you buy
sorry did not mean to cause so much comment and I take your points one and all. Just wanted to make the point that people without a great deal of knowledge should take care when buying a car even if it states fully restored. I know the rubber covers are no big deal. Just don't assume everything is g...

Look before you buy
Just a word of advise which I am sure has been said many times before. When looking to buy take someone who KNOWS about Minors with you. Paid top dollar for mine, looks fab, goes well, told fully restored when top was chopped only a year ago. Had MOT to August. Failed MOT today because it had front ...

Thanks, what a pain that there is no way of topping up without taking the whole damper off again! I think it is the only thing Mr Morris did not get right.

Re: Rear Dampers
Just put back together and what a difference it has made to the ride quality!
Worth doing if you have not checked for a few years. A bit of WD40 on the bolts an hour or two before removal and it's not difficult.

Rear Dampers
Hi, I have removed the rear dampers for cleaning and am going to drain and re-fill. Look like they have not been touched for a few years. What is the best thing to use for flushing through and is there anything I should check before they go back? Have ordered new bushes for the arm that fits to chas...

Re: Gear leaver gator
Hi,
Made one from a piece of leather to match the seats. Tucked the bottom under the carpet and it looked fine.
Just stich a cone shape with the hole at the top just large enough to feed over the stick.

Horn
May be a silly question but is there anything on the standard horn (1098cc model) that adjusts the volume ? It sounds like a toy car not a real one. Have cleaned connections and it works but sound pathetic. My last car (series 2, 1955) had a far stronger sound. Do I chuck it and order a new one? Not...

Re: Fitting draught excluder strip
I would put clips on frame first as it is easier to position them where they are most needed e.g the sharp curves around the door latch area. The black rubbr is easy to fit but do think the fabric version looks more period. Don't cut it til you get to the end as you will find it takes more than you ...

Hi Bob, Have just checked, wire for break lightsis already connected to sender so can only assume it was for some other accessory item that has been removed. Can see no other obvious place for it to go! New rad should arrive Monday so will try to get it in and get car started before I disappear to M...
