Easiest way is plenty of washing up liquid and a second pair of hands holding the screen there a pain in the DONT SWEAR OR YOU WILL BE BANNED to do sometimes .. but it's nice to be back at em

May have figured out part of the problem there went to check the tappet clearance again and I was in mm so .12 of a mm is very little so converted it and figured out its .30of a mm now it starts and will stay going on her own but won't idle properly it's like it's getting fuel then not then getting ...

I'll look at that later thanks it clicks 3 or 4 times then stops for about ten seconds or so and might let another click out .. I might have said backfire wrong it pops through the carb a big puff of white smoke / vapour

Hair pulling engine problem
Having a little problem getting the moggie to stay running I have tried everything I can think of there is new rotor arm points and condenser gone into it and the coil works fine . It won't start with any choke at all only with the throttle either a quarter way down or fully down depending on its hu...

A bit of black on her have the roof finished off and windscreen back in loving the fact it looks more like a car every day having a pig of a job trying to get the side window back in but I'll get there

Engine in and running have terrible problems with the actuator is it positive or negative earth it's a lucas 11ac one but getting plenty of sparks out of it I used the diagram on how to install here but no joy .. also drove the car up to my house from the shed for the first time was a brilliant feel...

Little update engine stripped unleaded head fitted distributor rebuilt degreased and resprayed and no it's not not the original olive green but Jaguar metallic British racing green need to get it into the car . New clutch and pressure plate fitted and copper cylinder head gasket fitted also . Just n...

I find the gravity fed ones the best there are really good ones on eBay for feck all .. I'll link ya for them nice to see your making progress mine has kind of came to a standstill and haven't been on here much either get some pics up lad
