Re: how's your legs??
I have just replaced a drivers side chassis leg and the old one was dented and had a patch but when it was cut out it was full of rust, Even though it seemed ok it was very rough inside, the new one has been cleaned up coated with red oxides and has weld through primer on the faces. The new panel i ...

Re: Best type of garage door
After we did the garage extension we decided to make the doors out of box section and clad them, The cost was a factor but the security and look tipped the balance.

Re: 948cc engine strip continued.
This is just how i found my traveller 948cc when i first got it, It had been serviced by a local garage for years but the guy i got it off was about 80 and had no idea, The good news is the garage has now changed hands and the owner has nothing to do with cars now. I have changed to a 1098 engine an...

Re: Core Plugs
Thanks again Phil, I have a few things on the go using citric acid and i was thinking about using something like an old central heating pump to make a heated pumped system to clean rusty parts and maybe the engine water ways, The hot water does help the process and if it is a success i will post pic...

Re: Core Plugs
Thanks Phil, Brass seems a much better option and yes i think changing all would be better and i want them all out anyway as this is going to be a spare engine, Is the sealant for core plugs thay have on that site good? I think the last time i used anything for core plugs it was Hermetite gold and i...

Core Plugs
Are there any core plugs that can be recommended, I am in need of a few as 2 have failed in a block, It is a 1098 minor but if all A series engines are the same core plug i would be happy to buy more than i need as i am sure i will need them again.

Re: Body shapes after 1964
I think the 64 was 1056xxx and the later car is 1278xxx i presume you mean the chassis numbers and not the other number on the right hand side of the engine bay below the tax disc.

Body shapes after 1964
I was wondering if there is any difference in the 2 door car body shell after 1964, Did it change at all again before the end of production, The 2 cars i looked at today seem identical but the 1964 is going to be used for parts and i wondered if anything will not fit, The engines are both 1098 and t...
