Re: looking for my Grandads Morris Minor
Number rings a bell so may have seen it around East Anglia. Being an ENG registered car it came originally from Norfolk. Was it still in Norfolk when you grandfather owned it and sold it? If so you could contact the three Norfolk MMOC branches to see if it is owned by one of their members and possib...

Re: Side valve water jacket
met an Aussie Series E owner last week who has an MM block in his E and he told me he was getting some water jackets made up in Oz, albeit without the dynamo brackets, for about $30. Asked him to see if they could also make with the brackets. Hopefully he will remember and contact me when he gets ba...

Re: H1 Carburettor seal replacement
Mike We have lots of original MM/S11 carb seal kits in the club stocks , part number AUE18, so there is no need to tell owners to go to Burlen. Also have some AUE19 kits which are for the early 948 where the only difference is the float chamber diameter. Bryan, the seal kit I used was bought from yo...

Re: MM GEAR KNOBS ARE MADE OF RUBBER !!!
Wasnt aware that earlier S11's had a ball shaped gearknob. I thought they all had the mushroom shaped rubber ones. My 53 Traveller came with a rubber one.

DYNAMO & BOLT ON HEATER WATER PUMP
Had a call tonight from an Ivan Mitchell from Warminster who has a dynamo and the accessory strap on water pump from a 1949 MM and wanted to know if anyone in the club would like them. Please contact him direct on 01985 216254 and post on here if you buy them.

MM GEAR KNOBS ARE MADE OF RUBBER !!!
Anyone looking for a gearknob for their MM should be aware that many advertised as being MM gearknobs are not the correct ones. The correct MM gearknob was made of rubber and perished easily hence the shortage of good secondhand ones. The bakelite ones with the number 19437 stamped on the underside ...

Re: MM Gear knob on Ebay
The bakelite one as currently listed on ebay comes from either a Morris 8 Series E or a 10 M. Same shape and style as the rubber MM one. Have used several of these over the years as slightly easier to find than the correct rubber ones but heavier so tend to get vibrations from the gear lever.

Re: Series MM prices. Help!
There have been several on ebay lately for restoration but not many come up for sale in very good condition needing no work. One recently sold for over £5000 at Kings Lynn Classic Car Auctions. Superb bodywork and paint but wrong engine, grille, interior, steering column etc so would have cost a lot t...

FOUND IN SWEDISH SCRAPYARD
By chance discovered an overgrown woodland scrapyard whilst in Sweden last week and found a few Morris cars including 2 1953/4 Series 11s, an MO and an Oxford Traveller but I think they are all well past repair and very little left on them.

Re: Brass bottom hose section
Have plenty of the correct bottom hoses to go with the brass/copper pipe in the MMOC stocks. If you can find someone to make a batch of the pipes we could consider financing it through the club. If not I have used Series11 bottom hoses with a small right angled piece of metal piping in the past. Bry...

Re: Thefts at Cornbury Park
The thefts at Donnington were certainly by outsiders, I don't think the scrap value of Minor wings or exhausts is going to be high enough to attract even the most desperate of tea leaves. Bring back the stocks for the next national! Excellent idea! If someone can make them I will ask all the trader...
