Such a good thing to bring back the past in this way, All the best with bringing it back to life i used to love going to shows and seeing these cars from "boy" racers back in the day.

Re: Mystery item Suitcase

Well i think mystery solved, The covering is indeed leather cloth or faux leather, Most it seems ok and i think it is worth spending a bit of time making it useable, Maybe it will fit in the back of my traveller, Thanks all.

@Palacebear, I love the red pottery piece and that kind of colour, I have a bright yellow one almost the same with the "fat lava" effect, Great to know those bits have been given a new life i saved them from my sister when she was on a clear up.

Mystery item Suitcase

I have this suitcase looking item that has angled sides, It looks like it was made to go into a specefic space, maybe a car boot? It has small feet on the back to stand it up on so i think it is made to be carried no just a box in the boot. https://puu.sh/xhO78/865e20858b.jpg https://puu.sh/xhO6O/c6...

Re: Traveller seat issues

Thanks all, They are the original seats which look leather and the stitching is failing, The frame is the folding type and i love the design so want to keep that, The only spare seats i have are blue vinyl from a later car but i can put some seat covers on till i get the old ones sorted.

Traveller seat issues

I was in the passenger seat a few days ago and the seat leaned back and stayed there, I think the frame is bent up but not broken, The padding and webbing looks and feels like it needs a refurb so i am going to tackle both seats, I know it will take quite a bit of time so i am going to put other sea...

Re: Original forecourt prices.

@SteveClem, I have the same thing going on, I think those cars we took for granted years ago bought us happy memories so we keep the cars as they are part of it, I still have a love of beetles and BMC cars nothing will replace them, New cars just do not have the same affect.
