Thanks for the encouragement. I will have another go with them before I hit them with a very large hammer (only joking). It will probably be next weekend now before I have time to try setting them again. I will let you know how I get on. Just one last thing. It’s the fluctuation in revs that’s buggi...

How can I check them? the pistons move up and down smoothly but dont clung down. I used engine oil in the dashpots. The rea...

Nationals 2005/2006

Hi, I have just been looking at the photos from past Nationals. I noticed the 2005/2006/ Nationals are missing. I can’t even remember where they were. So can anyone tell me first where were they held? In addition, why are they missing??? Cheers.

If you are thinking of changing the fuel pump yourself Please disconnect the battery first. Even if you only disconnect the earth lead.
Remember Safety first, safety second, and safety third. Especially when working with petrol.

compression testing a dead engine

Hi, I have a spare engine that I took out of another moggy. I know it was making a knocking from the back R.H side of the engine when I removed it. I will hopefully find out the cause of that when I strip it down. However, I do not know if the compression was ok. Can I some how do a compression test...

Ignition timing

Hi, my moggy has a lead free head and is running on lead free fuel. The question is should the timing be set at the normal marks is it 5 degrees B.T.D.C or should it be advanced or retarded differently. I checked the timing and it appears to be there or there about. However when I turn the ignition ...
