Old morris minors in woods

Post by shabby_caddy »

Hi, new to the forum, dont have a morris but i do love them. Just wondered if any of you know what type of age this morris minor is? As i have no idea! Its in the woods down the bottom of my garden with a load of other old english cars which are beyond repair!

Looks like the chrome is still pretty shiny. A bit of T-cut and a fresh battery and she'll be back on the road in no time!

Is the front windscreen a single piece of glass or is it split down the middle?

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

It's got the small rear window so I assume it's a split-screen.

Something about the shape of the roof suggests to me that it might be an MO Oxford, though. Either that or it's just distorted due to the tree branch!

Is there still a badge of sorts somewhere on the front end.
Cheers

Looks very much like an Oxford.

The rear window seems to be at more of an angle

Where are you based? I'd love to have a look :D

Dont know about the front as it was in the bushes, so dont know even it it had a windscreen left in it!, yeah chromes not bad at all, some of the window surrounds are really good and the windows are still in tack. So if its an oxford how old is it?? Live in hampshire in romsey. Quite a few other old cars and vans like bedford HA vans and bit of other minors there aswell

Try measuring one of the doors and then it can be compared to a 4 door Moggie as the doors would have been bigger on the Oxford.

The Oxfords I've seen have rounded corners on the door window frames - the ones in the pictures are squared.

I'm voting that it's a '55/'56 Series II Morris Minor.
(You can make out the centre speedo in the 1st photo)

It looks a bit too much at an angle that rear screen to be a Minor.

I'd say a Morris Six
