hello, I think its called 'peat' brown...the last owner was 87yrs old, and painted it every two years, the underneath has been painted with a rubber seal, to stop any rot/rust
we havent done anything with her yet, otherhalf has been looking on website for things to smarten her up,
we are bringing her home at the end of the month, at the moment she is sharing a barn with chickens and cats
we cant wait to get hold of her and give her a good clean,

I like the colour! It reminds me of a B-reg metro that we had ages ago. Still at least it hid the rot nicely.

Hello Everyone
Yeh.. welcome Moggy moo, I see you live in Co. Durham, which area ?
surely you must know where my photo's were taken at in the 'off topic' old photo's section
Hope to see you at a few shows this year, btw. nice coloured Moggy, I've only seen one of that colour at all the shows I attend, so you will stand out a bit..

I cant wait to collect her, and smarted her up, I am not to sure of the colour, and may re-spray her, I also need a new p/side wing (I think lol)[/b]

No! don;t re-spray it as its a lovely looking milk chocolate brown. Its a rare colour and (IMHO) looks great!
You will regret it if you re-spray it a common Moggie colour. As it is it is sure to draw attention at shows etc.

Cheers John - all comments IMHO

Some of the original colours are now becoming very rare as they are 'unfashionable', although there are a few people who like them - nostalgia is an odd thing.I cant wait to collect her, and smarted her up, I am not to sure of the colour, and may re-spray her
If it was my car, I know what I'd do ;-)

Hello Everyone
Nice to have another Moggy in the area.... Darlington is only 13 mile along the A66 from meMal, we are in Darlington
I agree with John on this one... I would wait a while and enjoy the car first, nothing wrong with the colour and as I previously said, as did John, there's not many of that colour around.... and nice to be different + original, ( if that was the original colour )I am not to sure of the colour, and may re-spray her,

thanks for the advice (again!) maybe you are right, the colour could grow on me, and once she has had a good clean and polish I may like the colour...
I saw a black moggy in Darlington today whizzing around a rounderbout, it looked fantastic
