Morris Minor Picture challenge........
Hi Wibble...
Is that at Castle Bolton between Aysgarth Falls and Leyburn... it looks familiar, if so it's a lovely place, I'm often down there with the family... don't know why they always refer to it as Castle Bolton though, usually it's the name of the Castle first.. if you know what I meen

Heres Carrickfergus Castle which is only about 5 miles from my house, built in 1178 by John de Courcy. The club had a Medieval banquet in the Keep complete with fancy dress a few years ago, we had some convincing wenches and very dodgy knights...... It was a great evening. A castle is bl**dy awkard to photograph!!

Guess I shouldnt really have driven along the pavement..... But hey, no one stopped me

IIRC Bolton Castle is in a village called Castle Bolton... Or was it the other way round?mal wrote:Is that at Castle Bolton between Aysgarth Falls and Leyburn... it looks familiar, if so it's a lovely place, I'm often down there with the family... don't know why they always refer to it as Castle Bolton though, usually it's the name of the Castle first.. if you know what I meen

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Hey Jon
Longdog is right when he says class...
Chateau de Chambord
This is the largest of the Loire castles, sumptuous Renaissance Palace, creation of the king François I inspired by the famous Leonardo da Vinci. Dreams of a genial artist made reality by the enthusiasm of the greatest king of the 16C.

Heres a pic of my lowlight at the same rally as Steveys, that bit wasnt so deep but on the other side of that bit of grass is a river that had burst its banks....

This is my entry, relaxing with a picnic on the way home after a rally on a fine evening. This was taken just outside Rostrevor at the foot of the Mourne mountains in County Down and this stretch of water is Carlingford Lough.
