I saw a white convertible driving in Bovingdon High Street yesterday. It used to be at my school as it was one of the teachers and I left school in 1984.

Spotted today in Saffron Walden (Essex) Very nice looking Two Door SBY225 looked like a 1961-3 from the front sidelights. Re-furbished seats and modified suspension (?). I left an Uttlesford Branch flyer on the front windscreen.

Spotted on Sunday, (Drive it Day) - a Trafalgar? blue saloon heading north on the M42 in the outside lane near Tamworth/Burton area. I was in the outside lane going south in a traveller, so was a fleeting glimpse....
No other Minors spotted on drive it day (other than those at the Birmingham Branch Rally) but exchanged waves with a couple of MGBs and a Frogeye Sprite near Droitwich...
cheers
Iain

Also spotted last Sunday (Drive It day): Didn't have time for Birmingham Branch Rally so just went for a brief drive locally. No Minors spotted but had a very nice blue Mk.1 Consul convertible, with the top down, following me near Wolverley. Stopped for a cuppa at The Lock Inn and something small, loud and track-day ready shot past on the road. Might have been an AC or even an Elva Courier. Not sure as I clearly don't know my Aceca from my Elva ! :D

Spotted and snapped this morning by Mrs PB in Kidderminster. Half an hour later the car pulled up outside our house whilst I was washing the Moggie. I now know the owner lives a couple streets away and had seen my car whilst he was out walking the dog. Said he'd been wanting to have a natter. It's a 1958 with an unusual (?) cream interior / dark green carpets. Unusual green paintwork too. Too dark to be Almond green. Too light to be Dark Green. Our paths crossed again briefly at lunchtime at the local monthly classic car meet, and we had a two-Minor convoy back home afterwards!

It is a late model Austin pick up, Steve has modified it but subtly, stretching the cab to take a 2 door sized door. and altering the cargo load area The paint job is beautiful and under bonnet minimalist with standard engine. It was the star of the show at saffron Walden Motor Show last year.
