No they didn't - I think that your post has a typo, given the question mark at the end of the statement. The Short Bonnet was only on Side-valve engined cars and the Traveller (Utility Vehicle) wasn't introduced until the merger with Austin. The photo of the blue "transitional" traveller shows a car with a fake centre screen strut - the car has a one-piece post October 1956 windscreen.
The short bonnet was deleted in mid-1951. My signature shows a short-bonnet high-light and my August 1956 built Traveller (with long bonnet). All my cars are Split-screen, including the newest acquisition of a June 1950 low-light (not yet in the sig picture).
Regards, George.

thanks, reminder to me to re-read my posts first. whoops...

I've just noticed it's the shadow from the aerial on the wing. It gives the impression it has a shorter bonnet. Looked carefully and I can see it has the normal bonnet set up as per your statement above.

Aha - I didn't notice that! Yes, indeed, the bonnet does look "short", but the windscreen still has a dummy "fake" centre strut (seen this before on an eBay offering).

If you study the photo, it is the one currently on ebay. It seems to have been listed for many months.

Yes I saw the Austin's including the Woody (yours I believe). I waited around for a while but didn't see anyone near it apart from admirers of course! A good display of cars! 👍

I went to the Hanworth Classic in Bushy Park today (Opposite Hampton Court Palace, Surrey) and spotted a split screen pick up. reg was 4 digits. I'd never personally seen one before in 30 years of owning classic cars.

A family member said they had spotted a maroon saloon with grey interior trim, sadly I have no more details as their description was quite vague

I think I know the car you're referring to, a family member said they had spotted a broken down convertible about that time in that area, hope it was recovered ok

Quite a good event. Not so huge you feel you're trudging round for hours and any pre '90 motor is free entry with Driver +1 included.
It was the first time we'd been.
