Post your rally photos here
Didn't get time to take many myself, so here's just a couple to start off the thread. [frame][/frame]

Here's a few more photos but I'm sure there'll be more posted later (including some of the skip being emptied of parts!). Great weekend, lovely weather, and well done to the young members for winning the inter-branch challenge

Re: National Rally - Photos
i missed that, but heard about it.(including some of the skip being emptied of parts!)
i don't know what other people's opinions are, but i think this is disgusting; simply skipping parts at the end of the weekend.
it will lead to minor ownership being unsustainable in the long run, if all the old parts are disposed of so rashly.
i would suggest that, at the end next year, a big tarp or something being laid down for anything to be disposed of, and given away for free. I am pleased that some parts were saved this year but, to my knowledge, several parts were damaged by carelessly lobbing them into the skip.
we need this to be targeted for the sustainable ownership of these cars

I think just about everything from the skip was saved to be reused by others, not sold on

Not quite sure how to upload pictures yet, so here goes and fingers crossed.
I was at the rally on Sunday and after renewing old acquantancies the skies had clouded over when I took my pictures.

Re: National Rally - Photos
Here are a few of mine (excuse the terrible photography skills):
Delightfully 'dog-eared' SII
Austin flat-4 engined van (anyone got more info on this car, looks interesting?):
Biscuit tin air filter :
Lovely charaterful interior of the series MM:
My favourite car of the show, a one-person Minor camper van:
Was only there for the day - next year I'll bring a tent and stay for the weekend.

Re: National Rally - Photos
that van was at our branch rally, had a great chat to him there.
it's actually a flat four out of an Alpha-Sud rally car
if i recall, it's then mated to a toyota five speed, and a standard back axle (with hardened half shafts). pushes out about 140bhp, amazed the axle copes!
the suspension is quite high at the front purely because the exhaust goes under the engine. any lower and the manifold would bottom out!

Re: National Rally - Photos
Interesting - I initially wondered if it was a one-off engine made from old drawings, but when I saw the overhead camshafts thought this was unlikely. The Alfa engine does fit in very nicely though!
