Looking at buying a Morri and see from DVLA that the Year of Manufacture is 1955, but Date of Registration is 10/1996?
Does this mean it has had a plate change/writen off/repaired or been off the road for some time?
Any wisdom out there?
Cheers
AJ

Re: Date of Registration Query?
It might have been off the road for a long time or might even have been abroad and imported at some time. Or there could be another reason - difficult to know for sure. A number plate change or repairs after a write off wouldn't change the date of registration. If this relates to the traveller you are going to see tomorrow ask the seller. Hopefully they will be able to provide some history for the car so check through any documents to see if they can shed any light on it. Ask lots of questions!

Entirely possible that it was off the road when the DVLA computerised and as such "dissapeared" and then registered when it was restored and put back on the road. Something to ask about, but not something to worry about too much IMO. There is also the possibility that its an import

Re: Date of Registration Query?
If it has been given new plates, which is quite common then the DVLA records will show the date the plates were issued, not the original date of registration.
