Naming your Minor
Wondering if any of you guys have named your Minor(s), and what brought you to calling it that name
My 55 splitscreen I named Audrey, purely because it was a name that came to mind as soon as I saw her. Its also a name that fits in with the era of the car, unlike say Chelsea or Summer lily! lol

Re: Naming your Minor
I don't really ever name cars as they are pieces of machinery which occasionally get called 'bag of crap', 'piece of junk', other obscenities but sometimes 'you beauty'. Anyway you do get attached to your car as you go through many experiences with it and regard them with affection (or hatred).
I have only ever had one nickname for any of my cars: the Panzerwagen, a 1996 Nissan Micra and a very good one at that.

Re: Naming your Minor
Our minor has the name wilma she is is called wilma as in ' wil ma ' car start ? . The name also came to mind as wilma is in the flinstones as the rust holes in the bottom of her made us think of wilma and Fred using their feet to start the car . Wilma suits her really well .

Re: Naming your Minor
Mine's called 'Misty'
the name came about before i picked her up, i was stood in a big band rehearsal, and thinking about what to call her
the conductor wanted us to play 'Stormy weather', but couldn't remember the name of it, and refered to it as 'oh, you know, misty....'
It just seemed to fit - she is smoke grey, after all [frame][/frame]

Re: Naming your Minor
Well we call ours henrietta. She's a 57 so i thought of Heinz as in the beans and the 57 varieties. But the wife said you can't call it that as its to shapely to be a boy and its an English car so Heinz is German for Henry and the female equivalent is henrietta so that's what we ended up with.

How about Buzby, after the talking yellow bird in the 70's BT ads? Your car looks a similar colour to the BT yellow vans

We called one of my father's cars this as kids, it was a Vauxhall Viva I think. He needed it resprayed and yellow happened to be the cheapest colour at the time, a typical Dad thing to doLouiseM wrote:How about Buzby, after the talking yellow bird in the 70's BT ads? Mine's name is Trudy as that was the noise she makes when you try to start her with the handle.
