Details are here: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/index.php?page=523

Turn up after 08.30 a.m. and pay at the gate by following the MMOC Rally arrows.

Non display parking is in the same field (I was there today in the C6)
Our other car is a 2009 Citroen C6 3.0 HDi a 'future classic' and far rarer than a Morris Minor!!

The 'moggie' has been replaced with another 'classic' a 1953 Citroen Traction Avant 11BL

Good grief - with sights like that I'm glad I decided to give the party a miss and stayed in my tent all evening reading my workshop manual.

Quite a few messageboarders won awards at the National - from memory

LouiseM won the Jack Daniels award for her sterling efforts with the messageboard
Mbo145 & DavidMcCullogh 1st & 2nd in Series 11 Travellers
Simmitc (& Angela) 1st in Police Cars & both picked up the Jane Brown memorial shield for services to the club
Matt Coles picked up the young achievers award on behalf of the Young Members register
Oddballs67 won in 2 door saloons

Congrats to all - apologies if I have missed out people - please add to thread

Actually, the award does contain a bottle of 'Jack Daniels'.
Unfortunately Louise had to leave early due to work commitments, so I had to accept the award on her behalf. It will be awarded properly at the Branch and Register Liaison meeting later in the year (with the Jack Daniels bottle intact, before any one says anything )

And I'd like to second Les's congratulations. :D

Thank you all  The award was very unexpected - I found out via a text message when I arrived home. Just as well really as I would have looked almost as rusty as Matt Coles in any photos :D

Bullying?? Where?? You had a healthy 'sun kissed' complexion - it's nothing to be ashamed of :P

(ps: well done to you & Andy on the young achievers award :D )

The only advantage was that no one could see me blushing as I walk up to receive the award

Thanks Lou, well done to you too :D

Did the draw for the cylinder head take place? If so, what was the winning ticket? We had to leave early.

If you did draw the winning ticket a note of your number will have been taken and you will be contacted by the Club.

They didn't ask for my number! (or indeed, name).
She just said to look out for winning number to be announced.

If the winning number wasn't claimed at the National Rally, it will be printed in the next Minor Matters (Sept/Nov), and will need to be claimed within a certain time, as a 'reserve' was also drawn.

I'll see if I can find out the winning number and whether it has been claimed yet.

The winning ticket number for the rebuilt unleaded cylinder head at the National Rally was 355.
If the lucky winner contacts the Derby Office arrangements can then be made to arrange a hand over of the cylinder head.
