WOE 70J could still be on the road but abroad like my Traveller (DPK 558 J) that left the UK in 2009faversham999 wrote:The vehicle details for WOE 70J are:

- "Export marker Y", correct me if I'm wrong, means left UK. The DVLA gives exactly the same info for my Traveller

Re: mmoc show 1984/5
Thank you by 'brucek' & 'faversham999' for that interesting info'.
i remember now Shugborough Hall Staffs, was indeed where i showed my Minor in i think 1984-5. As i said i sold in a year or two later to a School Teacher who saw me with the car in Heswall in Wirral, on a sunny day of course. i never took it out in the rain!
He seemed a well of guy then so he probably retired abroad somewhere!
good to know it wasn't scrapped.
I am uploading a photo of the car taken with my son in 1987.[frame][/frame]

Re: mmoc show 1984/5
The second of only two photo's i have of my last Morris Minor WOE70J.
A few more people gathered on this one. Our 'affectionate' name for the car was 'WOE-JOE'
I bought it in 1982 with only 24000 miles (genuine) on the clock. The previous owner was a farmer who had bought it new for his lovely wife (his words) who unfortunately died shortly after. He kept the car for many years in a barn (in her memory) and it was still in almost new condition apart from some chicken droppings and a lot of dust etc. However it needed very little work to bring it to a MMOC concourse condition.
We all say it don't we " I wish I had kept it"![frame][/frame]
