Re: austin van
It looks like a very dirty Bermuda Blue under the bonnet, teal looks about right on the top side.

Re: Austin van
My view is that it's definitely Aqua originally - unusual on a van. The blue is probably Teal, and I've never seen Bermuda Blue on a van, only late Travellers and Police cars but there's a first time for everything.

Re: austin van
Definately Aqua! I had a van and a traveller int his colour. Its pretty unusual, only used during the last year or so of production.
Down to personal taste really if you decide to keep it or not... Presumably a prev. owner didn't like it and painted it the dark blue that looks like Teal blue.
It looks darker on the traveller photo, but thats just the contrast with the snow. I couldn't find a pic of that car not covered in snow!

Re: austin van
Fair enough! When I sold the traveller in the pic potential buyers where either 'love the colour' or 'totally hate it' catagory. One described as similar to a sixties bathroom suite... Personally I quite like it.
cheers

Re: austin van
"AX" is Cardiff isn't it....."Red & White" buses et al
Salop NT/UX/AW/UH
Looks more like Burmuda blue, nothing like aqua(?)
Was this van found anywhere near the Severn Valley Rly?
when I've a few mins, will look through my 80s 'lcv spotting' bks - DAX-K sounds familiar!

Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

this sounds more like it. forget the story now but it came from a farm south of me. i'm in cheshire, so shropshire monmouthshire sounds right. it must be one of the last made. registered may 1972MColes wrote:"AX" is a Monmouthshire platePOMMReg wrote:"AX" is Cardiff isn't it....."Red & White" buses et al
