Insurance
Hey all.
Was wondering if anyone could help me on here. I have just bought a new minor and I am having a little trouble
getting it insured. I am a young driver (19) and i went to footman james and asked for a quote but they said they
would not insure me as the car has had mods. These are. Centrifugally locking seatbelts, anti roll bar, alternator and front disk brakes. Does anyone know of any good insurers bearing in mind these modifications and my age?
Thanks
Barny

Re: Insurance
Phone them again! If you are a member of the MMOC then you should have no problems. Many members (young and old) have modified cars and they insure them no problem.

Re: Insurance
Those are well know and generally accepted as proven, and not far from the ordinary, should be no trouble getting insured ,if the mods were the only reason
Cheers Alex

Re: Insurance
As Alex has said those are not unusual mods so shouldn't be an issue in their own right if they're the only reason
