Easy, if your going for the rat look, chop it in half and weld four inches in the centre. In the same way they solved the series MM bumper problem !

My wife thinks we should have a sun visor on Bertie but I imagine it must knock off at least 5 mpg and be quite noisy? What's the verdict on 'em?
John

The economy impact is always the first thing that comes into my mine. That, and they look ghastly in my opinion. Surely it must narrow your field of vision?

Some people are just collector-maniacs for period accessories, but it doesn't do it for me. Each to his own, I suppose.

Michael

They do have an effect on your top speed .
Fuel consumption, without a doubt , but only if your doing out of town speeds .
On the plus side you don't get as much rain hitting your screen , they do keep the sun out your eyes, and the cab cooler (depending on which way your facing, ) and for reason's that I'm not sure of you don't get anywhere near as much frost ,in the winter, and it's usually soft an easy to scrape off . Could be a good winter mod for the northern folk , weigh off the cost of the extra fuel against de-icer
But the highest plus of all , on my truck , it looks awesome

I love my visor.
I don't drive over 50~55 mph.
I am 6 feet tall and don't have issues but don't have many stoplights in the area.
