Stolen car found!
My moggy was stolen in gunnersbury park near ealing in march.I got a phone call today from the police telling my they found my car abandoned near the park it was stolen from. Its completely undamaged although dirty and the chrome is rusty.the insurance company officially owne it now and I have brought another since it was stolen(with the insurance pay out ).although they are going to give me a chance to buy it back when they recover it from the police.Still very happy it's not been destroyed.

Its got to be worth more to you than anyone else, lets hope you get it cheap. On a positive note, its nice the scum that took it tried getting it back to the area they stole it from, that was a risky move. Maybe they were feeling guilty.

That is excellent news - shame it did not come to light earlier to save you all the stress of replacing it. Hope you do manage to buy it back at a very sensible offer if that is what you would like to do.

Re: Stolen car found!
Glad it is back. It was reading your original post that made me decide to fit a tracker and an anti-theft device so you did me some good - thanks!

Hope so.I'd keep the newer one and give the older one to my dad, just to keep it in the family. I've also now got a tracker in the newer one and a (very sensitive) alarmed padlock and thick cable wrapped around the steering wheel and seat.

hmm - you've just made me wonder if it's possible to adapt electric fence equipment - I already know where to get conductive cloth (woven with metallic element s for EMC shielding) that would make an interesting steering wheel cover.
