I'm currently listing a job lot of old picture postcards on Ebay, mainly from the sixties and seventies, and I came across this one posted to my parents in 1972, but I have no idea when the photo was actually taken. It is of Queen's Promenade and Onchen Head, Douglas, Isle of Man, and it clearly shows a Morris Minor Million. As far as we can make out, the reg. no is 699 MN. If that car is still in existence and the owner wants to contact me, or if anyone knows of the owner, I will happily send the postcard on.[frame][/frame]
I'm Sorry, but I've tried to upload the photo several times but it seems to be coming on upside down!!

Hi,
Rotated for you:
[frame][/frame]
No details on the governments website I'm afraid, so may be in a 'barn' somewhere or long since scrapped............
Nice postcard / lovely period scene either way.
Best wishes,
Mike.

4dr million?
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
Re: Morris Minor Million 699 MN on Postcard.
ye that's what I thought too . there weren't any 4dr millions
Re: Morris Minor Million 699 MN on Postcard.
The Isle of Man had their own system of registrations, so I wouldn't expect it to appear on a DVLA check. The colours on old postcards can vary widely so the original car may have been nothing like that.

Re: Morris Minor Million 699 MN on Postcard.
mmmm............ looking at it again, now you've pointed out it can't be a 'Million', the colour may be smoke grey....
Was this a coloured postcard?
By that I mean does it look like the original picture was black and white and it's been 'coloured' afterwards for commercial purposes (to make a brighter more cheery postcard).
Best wishes,
Mike.
