Five years later and I've bought my first Moggy
Well it looks like I've been on this forum for around five years, just after I first started getting into classics aged 18, I'm 24 now. My uncle used to own a Minor, my dad an Oxford and one Christmas we were sat around the table talking about them when I decided I'd like to own one too. I came here looking but at the time, couldn't see anything that caught my fancy, until a 74 red VW beetle turned up. Next came a 1969 Deluxe VW Microbus and finally, a 1971 VW Westfalia (my current) which my girlfriend and I have just spent six months travelling Europe and North Africa in.
My girlfriend now needs a daily so I've come full circle back to the Minor fold. We've seen a 69 1000 locally which we're test driving on Monday, so fingers crossed for that, but also keeping my eye open elsewhere.
So hello (again) and I apologise for the VW pictures!

Nice one Paddy
When you go to look at the Minor take plenty of photos, if you are not sure about anything ask any questions you have and put up the pictures on here
Some one will be along to answer your queries for you
Don't apologise for the VW photos, (nice to see) although this a Morris Minor site we all like different classic cars, vans, motor bikes etc
Your van has got a good lived in look
Nick

I'll get some pictures up. It's priced at around £2500, 1 year MOT and looks like it's been well looked after. Welding/paint done as and when needed.
Coming from VW's where prices have gone through the roof I'm not quite sure how to suss out the value?

Well done! That is good news. Let's hope you have a lot of good use and fun from it. I would think that £2500 should buy a reasonable "everyday" saloon with a bit of luck. Prices of Minors seem to have risen and no two cars are in the same condition of course.
Do post some pictures when you get it.

Not sure why but I can't upload pictures through the forum so had to use photo bucket links. Only took a few as the weather is crap.
