What a day for a Gal to turn 50!
90 miles today in the Yorkshire dales to celebrate 50 years of HDM113C, Roy's old traveller reg 1st November 1965
This is near Pateley bridge today 1st November 2015 taken on Kermit's dash cam. It was like a day in July!
Car is going a treat, lots of great video

It certainly was a super day, I was outside working in short sleeves at the blue minor, in November!
Too many Minors so little time.....

Thanks for that 'vast' - glad to see it's running well. We made a 'Traveller cake' for the 40th . Seems almost like yesterday....

Yes a big coincidence. They both left cowley on the same day. One went to aldershot and one came here to belfast.

So, do you judge your cars "birthdays" to be the day they left the factory OR the day they were registered?
The two dates could be a long time apart

Good point, well madeManyMinors wrote:So, do you judge your cars "birthdays" to be the day they left the factory OR the day they were registered?

In the case of the White trav, it's from date of registration so it's as you say, older than that.
Makes you think......

Re: A great 50th birthday for HDM113C
I would from the date it left cowley. Because my dove grey left cowley on 5th of November 1965 for Belfast. But it wasn't registered until april 1966, so it possibly was a showroom car. The heritage certificate tells me the information.

How does one obtain such a certificate?
Thanks

You can order one from the link below.

Some say it's a bit dear. But as I'm a bit of a minor nerd, i think it's well worth it.

Mines registered 01/01/1970 so iv got over 4 years to go. Did they actually register it that day? Or just put it down as that? My birth is the 01/01/1991 lol.

Re: A great 50th birthday for HDM113C
Hi everyone
Talking of spooky dates my Morris Minor 4 door saloon was registered on the exact same date as my wedding 6th February obviously not the same year she's a 1957 I'm not quite that old!! I only found this out after we got married.
Ps see my thread in general discussion 'front folding seats in a four door saloon' I refer to the heritage certificate, I'm definitely going for the whole package as I love the fact you get sales brochure facsimile from same year as your vehicle's production (A4 colour laser copy) and a digital print of an original publicity image of your car model as well as the certificate and tech spec. Its £103 but all bound up in a leather wallet I agree it is well worth it but I can't afford to have all 3 of my cars history (long story they found me!!) so I'm just choosing my very first ever moggie and she is also the oldest.
