Hope this helps?

Kent - you've got to be joking - that'll be a right trip for anyone north of Midlands. What about a compromise and North M25 bottom of M1 area. I admit it was North Yorks a couple of years ago, looks like I may be stopping over night, travelling through the night or not going. If it is Kent, I might as well stop off at my previous keepers house and show him his old car !

Kent won't be very popular with the majority of rally fans! :( :(

It's always been the case that whenever the rally has been biased towards the extremities of the country, that attendance drops. I'm surprised that the club have even considered a location such as that. As a trader I'd think twice about going and I've only ever missed one National since I joined the club in 1989

It's fantastic to know that you have managed to speak with and canvass the opinions of so many people. The literally thousands of people who have attended rallies over the years have generally been quite reticent in expressing their views. :-?

There seem to be three types of member so far as this is concerned:
a) Those who will attend wherever it is
b) Those who will never attend wherever it is
c) Those who will attend if it's close enough / somewhere different.
A fourth type might be those who complain wherever it is.

In order to cater for a and c the rally moves around the country and has been central, North East, South, and South West. It seems only fair to consider South East, and in due course North West and North.

It's not easy finding a site that meets our requirements, and Andrew does a fantastic job of trying to please as many people as possible. He is always open to suggestions and offers of help. If anyone has any constructive ideas then please do contact Andrew via the details in Minor Matters. In the meantime, let's look forward to another fantastic rally with enthusiasm rather than talking it down before it's even confirmed.

Fair point really. Gives a fair chance to all for an easy journey. I'd generally consider myself in catagory a - just generally trog aalong to em all, but its not as easy these days with children in term time when its a long way.
Probably been spoilt with all the Midlands ones over the last few years. If I lived in Kent I guess I'd be thrilled to bits....

It would be only fair to hold the rally in the south. The last couple have been in Yorkshire and in Derby - both a very long trip if you live in the south.
As Iain said - its very hard when you've got children at school especially as it's always during term time. This has meant we have been unable to attend the last 2 Nationals.
So personally I hope it is "down south" for a change :D

Years ago the club held one in the New forest area, fabulous scenery on the way, and you don't spend all day on the M25, well, not if you live down south!

If not where, I'd like to know when.

I'm in Saudi so North or South UK makes little difference. But I need to book holidays well ahead of time.
