Hi, l am new to the MMOC forum and so please forgive me if this question has been asked before.
Now that the classic car show season is drawing to a close, I am planning on spending some money on the seats, brakes, suspension and gearbox of my 1970 Traveller, that I have owned for a few months. So to try and save a little, does anyone know when the likes of ESM, Bull Motif etc. offer a discount sale? I know that Moss are currently offering up to 15% off but I would prefer to use the more established Morris Minor specialists.
Thanks

Bull motif, morrisminorspares.net , have some special offers on at the moment. Be careful to compare their web offer with their ordinary listing though as I got caught out that way once. It is worth checking regularly with suppliers for special offers.

Re: Discounted Parts
All the bigger suppliers seem to have various special offers much of the time and offers regarding postage etc. However, the most important issue to me is always to obtain the best quality parts for my car which doesn't usually mean buying the least expensive of course Make sure you're comparing like with like and that prices quoted include VAT and postage.
Also, 15% might seem an attractive discount but it depends what the price was in the first place.

The club spares are there for a reason, as is the wanted section of the forum. There is also a Morris Minor Buy/Sell group on Facebook that's worth checking.

Re: Discounted Parts
Thanks for the responses. It would appear that the main suppliers of parts don't have a 'sale' period such as Moss do currently, so I may have to shop around and hope to spot an offer. I have used the club spares for some items but the stock is limited and some items that I need are not available.

Re: Discounted Parts
I try to utilise my local car spares shops, for example, eurocarparts still do the odd part if you search for it by name on the website. My local independent spares shop sourced me a complete exhaust system for £34 recently, in the same shop I purchased a pair of Halogen headlights for £14 each, admittedly I did have to buy the bulbs and connectors but it was still cheaper than the usual suspects plus postage.
The only discounted parts I would advise against buying are ignition parts, Before I swapped to electronic I only bought spares from Distributor Doctor.
For example, this may look a bargain, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Morris-Minor- ... 0612331273 but on a dark rainy night you will be cursing if you break down.
