Tyre advice needed

Hmm, tyre pressure monitoring. Sent me mad on my wife's ex,unlamented Golf. If the pressure dropped by a smidgeon we had to reprogramme the blooming computer! It was a horrible car. Well built to be fair,but horrible. And boring. And I couldn't get in or out without clattering my head.
The tyres were ok though.

Never had any trouble at all with the one on my Nissan Altima. It is a bit sensitive and lights up if any corner is out by more than a few psi.

Glad I've got the system on my Focus. Lit up a few weeks ago, alerting me (eventually) to the 3-inch woodscrew stuck in the inner tread edge of a rear tyre

I ran my traveller on 155 Toyo's for several years and they were excellent - until I put 145 Bridgestones on. By far the best for a moggie I think

Do you use the Toyo Proxes? I've read somewhere that R888 and Nitto NT01 have the same compound. Despite the price difference, people say both tires have the same compound on a different carcass. Can anyone here confirm this?
