Welcome Mr Bird. Hope you enjoy the forum. Plenty of helpful folk to answer queries if you have any. Meantime, as we're an inquisitive bunch, how about posting some pics of your Minor for us? :)

Inquisitive bunch? I think that would entail asking how one accidentally buys a Minor!

Easily done. Max was an 'accidental' purchase. I'd still be interested to learn about Mr Bird's version though!

Let me guess then,------ you coughed at an auction and found you had bid on a Minor instead of that Mercedes. :-?

@mr bird: Rolling resto is more fun than fully restored! :)

@les: Much more mundane. Went to look at a '55 Austin A50. Was a bit tattier than I wanted but vendor had Max hidden at the back of his showroom awaiting 'prep'. Love at first sight :)

I agree, restoring is the pleasure with old things. Better to travel than to arrive, as they say. That way there's plenty of challenges and satisfaction in overcoming them. If you're ever asked about the car you can tell a few stories, better than saying ' Yea, some bloke did it, I don't know any more than that mate' :D

I took the wife with me to view our one and only Doris, "oh shes lovely" that was that.

Looks a nice little project and you can easily reinstate those trafficators and get rid of those modern things on the front ! (lol). Keep the piccies coming but don't use photo bucket !

Good luck with him / her - Has it got a name?

You'll be handily placed for the Morris Minor Centre at Oldbury when you need some parts and advice then!

They're pretty good there. Mike is the resident Minor guru, but he only works part-time
