The polished paint looks quite nice, advert notes that it was changed from white to green. I'm not knocking that, it's just a shame that the job was only half done. The ad also states: "It is solid underneath in the usual places". I wonder if that means that it is also not solid in the usual places. That is not a comment on the vehicle as I have not seen it, I'm just pondering on the intricacies of the English Language.

I would suggest that the green exterior is more likely to be original (possibly) than the brush-painted (Dulux) white dashboard etc. The woodwork (see close-up posted on 22/3/18) would render it unroadworthy I imagine.

Neither the green paint or the white would be original. Series11 Travellers were never available in any shade of white and the green offered was much darker. I think the car was probably Birch Grey originally. The paintwork was far from good close up and the underside was pretty poor too although perfectly restorable with work.

I cannot post my pictures showing the poor paintwork as this site has yet again chosen to make changes to the allowed size. I had re-sized all my photos in order that they could be posted here but the permitted size has been changed again it seems!?!?

It isn't an auction. It is still listed for sale at £26,000 on the Car and Classic website.
It looks very smart although I'm a little surprised that a £25,000+ full restoration by a specialist should involve the fitting of what are obviously cheap pattern wings.....

Ok.. listing ended early, suggesting that Maybe he had an offer which he maybe accepted .. as normally it would maybe run to the end of its chosen listed amount of days. Unless he violated Ebay rules by showing pattern wings!

It sold for £22,000

I suppose that's a fair price if somebody is prepared to pay that. It seems a great deal of money to me but there are only a limited number of them and if the restoration cost £25,000 and a car requiring that work can fetch £7,000-£8,000 before you've even started, then to pay £22,000 for one already done is not SO expensive? It depends on what you want and how you look at things doesn't it.

A car is worth exactly the highest amount somebody is prepared to pay for it.
