Somewhere yesterday, Admin posted a brief explanation. Site updates to improve stability (performance) and reduce vulnerability (to hacking etc I presume). I don't think any visual changes were anticipated but sometimes they happen when new coding is introduced and manifest themselves as little glitches that need ironing out!

Thanks PB , I dislike change for any reason ! I would still be wearing winkle pickers , drain pipe trousers and listening to Radio Luxenbourg if I had my way . However I suppose its called progress . Thanks again !

No probs @ Shropshiremoggie. Too set in my ways as well. My former employer's Annual Performance Review always contained a section entitled 'Demonstrate how you have embraced changes within the business'. My final year with them, my reply was 'With great reluctance'

I noticed that the top right of every post on my PC has little oval items that presumably feature as "Report/Edit etc" but are all identical. Minor issue, unless I notic a spulling misttake in my posts.

Rob. I'm sure your spilling is frost klaus
The matter of the little ovals was raised yesterday under the 'Problems with message board' topic and Admin are aware of it. Apparently (on PC/laptop) if you hover over each oval, its purpose will display on the screen. Not so lucky if using mobile device.

Actually it does on my iPad. But you’ve got to catch it just right. Put a finger on it and hold. The “open in new tab” menu appears. Move your finger a bit and the tooltip appears. Pretty lame, but that’s the browser and mobile device, not the forum.

The man with the Allegro is indeed Dave Lee Travis :)
He has always been quite keen on cars. Having started his broadcasting career on pirate radio, he's in his early 70s now of course.
