I think on this particular forum set-up, the only possible option for you is to use the 'Report It' icon, the one that's a [!] and then the Moderators can remove it for you.
Essentially, these settings are designed to stop people having arguments in a topic and then editing or deleting their comments to make someone else look bad.
I guess either the original people that set it up were a bit paranoid, or else, more likely, they've learned from experience what some people's behaviour is like and have adjusted the setting to suit.

I have now sold my traveller,
Morris Minor traveller 1972 in Black 1098cc in cars for sale,
just wondered if you can remove it or put sold on it,
