Interesting prices

Post by Willienelson »

hi again

I’ve been on the old tinterweb looking at vehicles and have found what I think will be my first classic being sold by a lovely gentleman not too far from me but with a good solid car for us to cut our teeth.

But my son found on autotrader what seems to be an almost immaculate condition minor 4 door saloon for £4300.

My question is it too good to be true and am I right to be suspicious?

All you can do is to go and have a look at it? It looks very smartly presented and has clearly had a lot of work and "upgrades" done. It all depends on how good the underbody structure is I suppose. On the face of it, it is keenly priced but there is a lot which cannot be seen.

That’s what I was thinking, but if the underside is as good as the rest it looks extremely keenly priced to me!
Maybe I am too suspicious!

I doubt it. Suspicion is a good thing when buying cars.

Just tried the link to see the dash and the link no longer works.
Have you bought/reserved it.
It appears to be a good buy.
It's always a difficult decision, in the past I've looked at cars and dismissed the first one I looked at only to go back to it later and buy it or miss out.
Anyhow good luck in your quest.

No not bought it as I’m struggling to get to Birmingham for a couple of weeks. Might be a bit late for this one for me

Looks like it’s gone from autotrader.

Something weird about that ad.
