Re: roll on indian summer
Wishful thinking, I’ve closed 90% of my pools for the winter. I don’t expect any balmy weather until early April.

Indeed, bought new in Wales in 1965 by a lady who bequeathed it to her niece.philthehill wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 7:06 pm If I am not mistaken a nice Pembrokeshire registration.
I took custody some 9 years ago, the niece is now a professor in Glasgow, her father looked after it for years just outside York, but eventually had to part company with her.
He wanted his garage back.
Lots of new parts and a respray later, I have been threatened with a fate worse than death by my family and friends if I ever part with her.

I originally come from Pembrokeshire which has the DE registration so have a soft spot for anything Pembrokeshire. My Minor with a DF Gloucestershire registration was a regular visitor to Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire in the 1970s to visit family - travelling via the A40 which was the main route to Pembrokeshire from Gloucestershire. A really good drive back then and the Minor was always driven hard. Happy days.

I'd just be glad of a Summer. We haven't had a full one, ie one that lasted from June to September, since 2006. I don't think you get more than one 1976 Summer per lifetime, so that it for me!!

The last couple of years haven’t been too bad here in the Midlands. We’ve been able to eat outside more often than not. But this Autumn has been appalling,so wet!
